Great Mexican restaurant with a varied menu selection. Happy hour prices are quite a reasonable price for Munich. Waitress recommended some different types of tequila to try and was able to match our palates perfectly. Only need to remove one star as we waited for our food for over an hour (our drinks arrived within 15 minutes) only to be told they'd lost our order and they needed another 20 minutes to make the order. Still- would assume this was an unfortunate mistake and I would definitely come back again.
Excellent happy hour selection, food was great, fantastic service!
The food very good.
Correct mexican food , but way too expensive : 10euros for 2 tacos is not justified by anything, same for the burritos that are too expensive People need to realize that paying 5 euros for one taco is insane The casuela al pastor was nice, but missing Fresh onions, coriander to add on top so it’s notFully pastor, But the marinade did taste nice Good margarita, well balanced.
Great Mexicans with really delicious margaritas (especially during happy hour which is all day on Thursdays and Sundays!). The food was also very tasty and sufficient. We had nachos with cheese and chili con carne as a starter and 3 fried tacos as a main course and 4 tacos to fill yourself. That was more than enough and very tasty! There was guacamole and salsa everywhere. You service (also Spanish / South American) was very friendly and attentive. We will be happy to come again!
Great. The tacos de nopal the best!
Great service and yummy food. Totally recommend it
Friendly staff, lively place, and delicious food. The Margaritas are very good
Great Mexican food option in Munich. Its prices are a bit higher, but that is reflected in the quality of food and service offered.
That was nothing ... cheapest, tasteless cheese on the nachos, guacamole tastes like it was off the supermarket shelf and the meat was quite tough. In addition, the waiter was listless and not very interested in the wellbeing of the guests. Too bad, had expected significantly more based on the reviews - must have worn off quite a bit
Great food, fast service and polite!
The Tacos y Tequila is a family-run institution on Hohenzollernplatz! The warmth of the extremely nice employees, the cozy atmosphere and the excellent selection of freshly prepared dishes are perfectly rounded off with a wide selection of fine cocktails and top-quality spirits from Mexico. With this in mind - go and enjoy! (P.S. I can't understand the negative grievances here, maybe just open my mouth on site and give constructive feedback ...?)
Great cocktails, great food, great service
Understaffed, low value for money, owner is king- not the customer, First, the staff seemed quite overwhelmed and our table had to wait for about 15 mins to be given the menu. Another 20 mins passed before we could place our order. The food itself did not take very long, however the authenticity and quality of the food was questionable. When kindly asked for a makegood on the house (nachos, dessert, anything really) the owner (Rafael) protested against this in a confrontational manner. All in all this is not the place where the customer is treated as a king at all
Best tacos in town!
Great food, great cocktails
The flan is delicious and the service is good, however the tacos are quite average, they lack some flavor and the meat is a bit dry
I really enjoyed the food there! The staff is friendly, the local is nice. There is also a possibility to eat outside. If the weather is nice, you'd better book a table ! I had the Chicken cazuela and I think, it was the best meal among us four. There also vegetarian options.
Nachos gringos and Margaritas, that's all you need.
Good food (the tortilla chips / nachos are awesome!), Friendly service, great cocktails and a pleasant atmosphere.
Food: portions are small and not tasty. Drinks: cheap, but cocktails are not edible, they all taste the same, namely lemon juice. There are many good alternatives within 300m. You shouldn't consume more than one beer here.
More expensive than stated on the homepage! We called and ordered and were then able to find out that all dishes were more expensive than they showed on the homepage :(
Nice host - from Mexico, but food manageable. But happy hour until 8 p.m. Well worth a visit for something like that.
Good pitchers, a little more expensive
Good Mexican place, cheap margarita if you purchase a pitcher during happy hour ( it was €17.50 ) but the food wasn't 100% authentic Mexican but still good so not a 5 star but 4 star
good food, excelent big drinks, nice waitresses
Amazing food! My favorite place to get authentic Mexican food in Munich. The owner is very welcoming and the staff is great! Definitely recommend this place!
Great cocktail selection and a chill atmosphere. It can get a bit loud, so I wouldn't call a quiet night out, although it is not overwhelming.
Cocktail Happy Hour, Jumbo Cocktails, great and authentic Mexican Food, sitting outside possible, super nice staff and owner.
We were welcomed when we arrived at the restaurant and seated at our table. Reserve a place if you planning to go! The waiter was very friendly and the service was fast. The food however has a lot to desire. The enchiladas didn’t taste nice at all. I would recommend the place for drinks but not food. Enjoy.
Overpriced food... not really Mexican.
So good!! Best Mexican food on the Continent!! We went right at 17:00, were seated and fortunate because we didn't have reservations. Very comfortable atmosphere, kid friendly, wheelchair accessible. We had the burrito and the mixed tacos. Very delicious and the beef and chicken were so tender. Yes, they have some vegetarian dishes as well. The staff are friendly. I can't think of anything negative to say about this place. I hope you are able to go, you won't be disappointed.
The food has the taste of Mexico, is authentic and very rich. The atmosphere very well and good service. I recommend it
Great place and great food. They don’t only have tacos but also very tasty main dishes. The cocktails could be a lot better though.
Average food and drinks
Mexican restaurant in the Schwabing area. Cozy, with plenty of seating. Intimate and characteristic environment. Wide choice of dishes, cocktails, wines and beers. Excellent cuisine and kindness of the staff. The nachos-based appetizers are excellent and delicate. Even those made with chicken or cheese. Good enchiladas and fajitas. Wide selection of tequila, also aged
Excellent and tasty food, good service
Five stars aren't enough for this restaurant. Amazing service, delicious food, cozy place.
Great fajitas, nice vibe, nice staff and owner. Great.
Our first and last time there. I won't point fingers but even the first impression of the staff: there were several soap bubbles visible on the table and when we asked to clean it or at least give a tissue we were told "but it's just soap, it's clean, don't worry"...? Extremely high prices for what u get. We ordered 3 meals worth of 40€ (not including drinks). We'd expect to at least get full, but that wasn't the case. We went to another restaurant due to still being hungry. Portions quite small and not a lot of ingredients, but at least there's guacamole. The tomato sauce tasted like a cheap sauce from a discount store. I decided to check the drinks, maybe it's just a cocktail bar and that's what they're good at, but even there I wasn't impressed. In conclusion: the food is "okay", but just not worth it for that price. What is it for anyway, the location? You might enjoy it if you never tried Mexican food before, but if you have, you'll probably be quite disappointed. There's so much better options and for way better prices. Hands off.
Nice food and service, but veeeeeery expensive!
Margaritas n Long Island Ice tea definitely a recommend
Very good quesadillas, and the cocktails are well done. Also, the bartenders are real latinos.
Really nice service, so so tapas (small) but really good drinks.
You sit outside very nicely and the Magaritas are really delicious - note Hapoy Hour;)
A great Mexican. The food tastes great and all the classics and a few new things are offered. The cocktails are actually well mixed - this is the first mexican I can say of that! The service is fix & friendly. In summer you can also sit outside. Nice location.
Food was very good I recommend you to go here and they also dont just sell tequila
Prices are quite high but considering the typical Mexican ingredients like Nopales and Valentin’s sauce, it totally worth
One of the best Mexican restaurants in Munich, and the cocktails are great :)
I have been sitting here waiting for my first drink to arrive for 30 minutes now despite reminding the waiter twice... Will surely avoid this place in the future!
